Rob Jarvis

I’m Rob Jarvis and I work in business development and account management here at bda.

I have worked in the web and marketing industry for more than ten years, with my main roles being in online learning, government websites and finally as the creative director of my own web design and development company. I have always found myself at the creative end of the spectrum whether this has been design and implementation, or driving the strategies behind projects.

Outside of Work

Most of my time outside of work goes into being a family man. As demanding as having young children is, it always proves to be very rewarding. It also gives me an excuse to regress back to my childhood and visit museums, watch children's TV and build sandcastles on our family holidays.

I enjoy an active social life and I often attend sporting fixtures to support our local clubs (mainly rugby and football), especially as my days of participation were cut short by retirement at the age of 24. I can only blame this on little opportunity stemming from a lack of personal talent.

Other Interests

I have a love of food, especially if it is spicy. In fact, my desire for spice has become an addiction and you’d struggle to find anything other than hot food in my house.

I also like getting away (when possible) for short breaks by the sea - Dorset and Devon being two of my favourite destinations. I bought a motor-home a few years ago (...yes, I know it’s mainly retired people who buy them!) and instantly fell in love with jumping in it on a Friday and going wherever the wind blew me. I’ve since woken to some absolutely beautiful vistas on a Saturday morning.

My other interests include photography, photo editing, reading, technology and ironing shirts (okay - that's a lie!).
